Minimo maemo port 0.16.12-1 available and TODO list.
New Minimo/Mozilla maemo port 0.16.12-1 now available. This is a minor release which just implements some easy-to-reach feedbacks I got.

* Made 'scroll by arrow keys' default instead of spatial navigation (toggling still possible through menu).
* Added 'Launch in fullscreen mode' checkbutton in general-panel/preferences.
* Set minimo default zoom level to 1.1.
* Removed 'Set minimo as default browser' and "dump js at shutdown" checkbuttons from preferences - WinCE specific implementation.
Follows how the current TODO list looks like:
- Automatic connection establishing.
- Make panning default instead of text selection.
- Automatic proxy setup from the environment.
- Select text in urlbar when it is focused.
- Making menu to show up when menu HW key gets pressed.
- Implement timers to context sensitive menus (it works only on x86 through right-button mouse click - have to file this as a bug).
- implement command line parser support bug 334019.
- implement dbus service for minimo. It would avoid having more then one instance of it running at the same time (btw, dbus-xpcom binding has been announced recently).
- fix fs browsing support (it crashes when I type /usr or /etc - although it works for /etf/fstab).
- fix segfault on window closing.
- maybe implement a portrait mode view ?!
What did I miss ? List is opened.
I hope to be working with "quilt" for patchset management soon ;) it sucks !!!

Minimo is crashing when clicking "Save" in Preferences, after which it's impossible to restart Minimo without rebooting the N800.
As you can imagine, this is making testing Minimo a little frustrating! Any chance you can fix this restart/reboot issue to make testing easier?
The above issue is present in 0.16.12-1.
Minimo just crashed attempting to open Preferences (and again I need to reboot to get Minimo working again). Grrrr! :)
By default the arrow keys appear to be scrolling to each link (so this is Spatial Navigation?) - perhaps this is because I upgraded 0.16.11 and it's picked up my original setting.
Interestingly, the menu text doesn't change in anyway to reflect the current scroll/navigation mode - it remains "Navigate via arrow keys" even when scrolling to each link, it should be a toggle or change text accordingly.
Instead of quilt, you could try stgit, nicer command-line UI IMO.
There is a problem with hebrew charsets (iso-8859-8, windows-1255). Pages with those charsets are displayed as if they are in latin (iso-8859-1) charset. That is - there are latin accented letters instead of hebrew letters. UTF-8 pages display hebrew fine. Example: http://www.arava.co.il/matan/misc/sample.html
Which displays fine in firefox, but displays latin instead of hebrew in minimo.
Although it looks like google docs accepts minimo, it doesn't seem to be possible to actually enter any text.

0.16.12 works OK (like .11) on 770, even Preferences :-)
I like all the items on your todo list, even those I didn't think of :-)
Here's some more that I suggested, just so they don't get lost :
- a Home button on toolbar
(I was going to ask for a Proxy On/Off button too, but if you can make minimo use the proxy declared in the network connection like Opera does, it's even better)
- hardware "escape" button as browser "back" button (as in Opera)
- up/down hardware buttons :
short press = PageUp/PageDown
long press = scroll up/down
- choice between small/large toolbar buttons ?

Nevertheless i am facing an issue on this specific site (www.lcinfo.com) that i suspect not to be very well written.
On Minimo i am getting a notification about swf support or something but there is no way to get out of this minimo notification !
Only killing Minimo process gets me out.
Testing it on Opera (with disabled flash extension) lead me to a system reboot which has become an extremely rare event since gregale update.
So minimo is better than Opera in this case but maybe something can be improved for such situations.
